I'm pregnant again - about 33 weeks pregnant - and I'm staring down the barrel of another intense 18-24 months of having little physical or emotional energy for anything but keeping a tiny human alive.
So, I've decided to take a babymoon for myself to write a few songs (a songeymoon!) before the new bundle arrives - made possible by my mom's empty condo in North Carolina and my saint-of-a-sister's willingness to take the day shift with my daughter Lena while she hangs out with her cousins. I'm punching in every day this week - Monday-Friday, 9-5(ish) and the results will be posted here - hopefully one song a day.
Here's the first effort. It's not AS bad as it should be considering I haven't written a song or picked up a guitar in nearly a year.
